I was watching this on the News last night and I swear i wanted to jump through the screen and slam Liz's head down on the desk top and gag her with a dirty thong. she is so overly dramatic and emotional. They need to start looking for a replacement for her cause she is quit annoying.

You can't just make a word extinct, bottom line is white people can't use the word, and if black people do, that's their business. it's unrealistic to bury a word. it's stupid to think that people will just stop saying it because it's politically incorrect. I wish people would get over the word and stop making such a big deal about it. you don't like it ignore it. I'm actually bored with the controversy around it. there are other things we need to focus on in the world.

When will the news start talking/showing important things. This is way to childish and stupid. What was learnt from all this? Where is the lesson?
I think that we should learn that there are some Caucasian Americans(including those who voted for Liz on the poll)who still have the idea that there's no such thing as cultural diversity &/or issues of racism in the U.S.-thus everyone should see everything the same way or "get with the program".
When we as a people get into discussions like this, they often lead to things like, "Why we (African Americans) shouldn't take issues of racism so seriously, let alone discuss them", or my favorite, "Get over it...it happened so long ago"-which is another form of racism in and of itself.
Be real, everything on the show was cool til' a white woman had a problem trying to tell a black woman (who's probably twice her age) how she should contextualize usage of "N" word? WTF?!
As long as racism exists in the U.S., the "N" word will exist & as long as White America will insist on ignoring the fact that it exist & that African Americans are different & have their own culture which should be respected & acknowledged as such, they will continue to shun or cry in their ignorance when confronted with such topics.

This argument is so overrated. There are more important issues that need to be discussed: ending the war; stablizing the economy and not placing bandages over the problem; combating the high gas prices.
